The terms of an order.

crumbor.in is run by Crumbor, a small kitchen in Ooty. In these terms “we”, “us” and “Crumbor” mean that business, and “you” means the person placing the order.

• Cookies baked to order, sold in boxes you fill with any mix of the cookies on that bake's menu. We do not sell single cookies.
• Each cookie's page gives its ingredients, allergens, weight and price. Photos show the cookies as closely as we can, but every batch is baked by hand and no two look quite alike.
• The menu changes. Two cookies are always baked and two rotate, so what you can order is what is on the shelf for the bake you are ordering into.
• Everything is made in one kitchen that handles wheat, milk, egg, nuts and soy, so any cookie may contain traces of them.
• Our cookies have no added preservatives and are best within 7 days of baking. The bake date is printed on every box. Keep it sealed, at room temperature.
• You must be 18 or over to order.

When you order, you book a place in the next bake that is open. Orders for each bake close at 6pm IST the evening before it — the cutoff. The bake date and an estimated arrival are shown before you pay.

When you press Pay, we hold your cookies for 15 minutes while you finish paying. Your order is accepted, and the contract between us is made, when your payment is confirmed and we send your confirmation email. If payment does not complete within the hold, the order ends and nothing is charged.

If the cutoff passes while you are checking out, your order would belong to a later bake. We stop before charging anything and show you the new dates first.

We may decline or cancel an order if the cookies in it were sold through an error on our side, a price was plainly wrong, the address turns out to be outside our delivery area, or we have reason to suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it in full.

• Prices are in Indian rupees. Each cookie has its own price, and a box costs the cookies inside it, less any box discount shown. Shipping is added once per order, at the rate for your city.
• The total shown before you pay is the amount you are charged.
• Payment is taken in advance through Razorpay, using the methods it offers at checkout — such as UPI, cards and net banking. We do not offer cash on delivery.
• We never see or store your card or bank details.
• Prices can change between bakes. A change never affects an order you have already paid for.

We deliver only to the pincodes checkout accepts, in the cities listed in our shipping & delivery policy, which forms part of these terms. Arrival dates are estimates counted from the bake day, not guarantees.

Please give a complete address and a mobile number that will be answered; the courier may call it. Responsibility for the box passes to you once it is delivered to the address you gave.

You can cancel free of charge until your bake's cutoff. After the cutoff your cookies are being made for your order, so it cannot be cancelled. If we cancel a bake, you are refunded in full or moved to the next bake. The full rules — including damaged, wrong and undelivered boxes — are in our cancellation & refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

You can send a box to someone else. You are responsible for their details being correct and for being entitled to give them to us for delivery. The box is packed without prices, and everything about the order — emails, refunds and the tracking link — stays with you as the buyer.

There are no accounts. Your confirmation email contains a private link to your order, and anyone with the link can see the order, including its delivery address. Please keep it to yourself.

• Please do not place orders you do not mean to pay for, or place orders with automated tools. An order holds cookies that other people could otherwise buy.
• Do not try to interfere with the site, reach parts of it not meant for you, or get around its limits. We may refuse orders from anyone who does.
• The Crumbor name, logo, photographs and words on this site belong to us. Please ask before using them.

If something goes wrong on our side, we will put it right as our policies describe. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, our total responsibility for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our mistake, or for delays and failures caused by things outside our control — courier disruption, severe weather, strikes or power failures.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any responsibility the law does not allow us to limit.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please tell us first — most things are fixed with an email. If a dispute cannot be settled, the courts at Udhagamandalam, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction. This does not affect your right to take a complaint to a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

We may update these terms, and will change the date at the top when we do. The terms that apply to an order are the ones published when it was placed.

If we have not put something right, raise it with our grievance officer, Tharunniha, at hello@crumbor.in. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it.
